The Banned Topics
Since the beginning, Spectre has tried to raise the level of discussion above the the standard fare seen on the Internet. If you have frequented other tropical plant forums, you'll know that growing coconuts in a Mediterranean climate is a discussion topic that always comes up.

In response, the Jungle has a rather unusual list of banned subjects. These are (as of February 2006):

* Will coconuts grow in California?
* Anything involving lucky bamboo
* Cottage gardens (Spectre hates them)
* Roses (known as carrottops in the Jungle) unless they are tropical
* Anti-cat (feline) posts because Spectre loves cats
